Anatahan Volcano Updates

Anatahan Volcano Update for August 4

For the past 24 hours, Anatahan volcanic seismicity has been low, at a level similar to that of the past couple of weeks. There were no apparent eruption signals or potential precursory events. Tremor and seismic energy release are at a low level.

Two dozen small long-period (LP) events occurred, mostly similar to those of the brief swarm of August 2.

For the past 24 hours, Anatahan volcanic seismicity has been low, at a level similar to that of the past couple of weeks. There were no apparent eruption signals or precursory events. Tremor and seismic energy release are low.

A couple of dozen small long-period (LP) events occurred, continuing a trend that started on August 2. A brief swarm of LP events took place this morning from about 0440 to 0500, local Anatahan time.

For the past 24 hours, Anatahan volcanic seismicity has been low, at a level similar to that of the past couple of weeks. There were no apparent eruption signals or precursory events. Tremor and seismic energy release are low.

Several hundred small long-period (LP) events occurred within the past 24 hours, continuing a trend that started on August 2. The number of small LP events is greater than that of previous days, but the overall energy release appears not to have increased significantly.

For the past 24 hours, seismicity at Anatahan volcano has been low, at a level similar to that of the past couple of weeks. There were no apparent eruption signals or precursory events. Tremor and seismic energy release are low.

There were no small long-period (LP) events of the type that had been registering since August 2.

There were no small long-period (LP) events of the type registered on August 2-6.
