Anatahan Volcano Updates

Anatahan Volcano Update for October 20

For the past 48 hours, Anatahan volcanic seismicity has been low, at a level similar to that for the last two months. There were no apparent eruption signals or precursory events. Tremor and seismic energy release are low.

For the past 48 hours, Anatahan volcanic seismicity has been low, at a level similar to that for the last two months. There were no apparent eruption signals or precursory events. Tremor and seismic energy release are low.

This is the last daily update for Anatahan until conditions change significantly. Beginning Monday, October 27, we will issue weekly updates. Remote monitoring for eruption signals will continue 24 hours a day, however.
