Anatahan Volcano Update for April 3-4, 2004
Submitted Saturday, April 4, 2004 at 1100 local Anatahan time

The moderately intense seismic swarm that began on March 31 continues.  Most events are followed by long tremor-like signals that we believe indicate small steam and (or) ash emissions to altitudes much much less than 3,000 ft (1,000 m), though we have no visual confirmation of such emissions at this time.
