Lava pond inside Pu`u `O`o crater, Kilauea Volcano, Hawai`i

A circular lava pond occupies the eastern end of the Pu`u `O`o crater in this photo taken from the north rim. The depth to the crater floor is 37 m; the pond surface is about 15 m lower.
