Kapoho map on Jan. 16

Map showing extent of coverage by lava flows at 0800 January 16. Lava has reached the sea north of Higashi Pond. An earthen barrier has been scraped up by bulldozers in an effort to protect Warm Springs. Only vents B and E are currently active. Not how the scarp along the Koa`e fault has confined the `a`a flow to the graben, temporarily affording protection for Koa`e village.
