Qualifications, skills, or experience:

Volunteer duties for the gas geochemistry group cross-cut several disciplines including chemistry, physics, math, computer science, meteorology, materials science, and electronics. The more information we have about your skilss and experience, the better we can evaluate your potential as a volunteer. With this in mind, please take a few worthwhile moments to address the following:

Describe your . What courses have you taken in these areas? What did you enjoy about them?

Describe your . What software applications (eg. Word, Excel, Matlab, etc) and/or programming languages (BASIC, C++, Java, etc) have you used? Are you a computer 'nerd' or just a 'user'? Have you worked with Windows registry files before? Do you have skills in working with computer hardware? If so, what are they?

Much of the monitoring that we do in gas geochemistry involves repeated measurements of chemical and physical parameters. Describe what experience you have had . Have you done and do you like doing fieldwork?

In volcanic gas geochemistry we much of our own lab and field equipment. This requires skills that range from using power tools, to DC electronics, to plumbing to chemical instrumentation. Describe the skills and experience that you might bring to such a job.
